Wingspan is dedicated to Frank J. Basloe. The “Agent of basketball” who canvased the sport in the East and introduced it to the West from 1922-1941. Basloe made the first basketball trade, packaged basketball as winter’s baseball and sold its first ticket.
"This is the story of a man who saw basketball in its cradle – and was the first to recognize its immense potential popularity and drawing power." He was writing an early playbook for brand monetization in sport before he decided building a family was a better investment.
Once eponym to the Harlem Globetrotters team, Wingspan looks to emulate his “Court vision”, growth mindset and original thinking in the possibilities we create for our clients.
